Why?

February 19, 2023

Good morning my friends.  I hope you are doing well and enjoying life.  February is moving quickly.  I hope you’re taking time to breathe and enjoy the last nine days of the month.  I struggled with changing my post today, from an uplifting personal piece, to this.  Let’s just say the universe works in mysterious ways and circumstances changed.  I dislike politics and don’t care for most politicians.  There’s too much deception, lack of integrity and donations (payoffs) by large corporations to cover favors for a later time.  Obviously, America is lucky to have many great political leaders too.  I wish we had more in power today.  Writing about politics, and all the nonsense, seems endless.  Much of this foolishness is beyond my control, so I rarely pay any attention to the news or waste my time dwelling on social media madness.  With everything that has occurred over the last several weeks (both at home and around the globe) I’m compelled to say something.  It all began February 2nd when a large balloon was spotted over Montana by a guy with a camera.  Actually, it began on January 28th, when the US military detected it near Alaska (maybe even sooner).  The action intensified when the floating apparatus was shot down on Saturday February 4th off the coast of South Carolina.  It took less than a week for things to get even more bizarre.  Who knows, maybe if I hadn’t written this post today, you may have wondered if I ever watch any news or stay in tune with what’s happening in our world.  Let’s just say I stay informed in small doses.  Our nation has some great representatives serving America.  Unfortunately, these individuals rarely receive the recognition or news coverage they deserve.  I’m confident one of them will dig deep to reveal the truth.

Where do I begin?  I attended an event early in the week and learned some enlightening facts.  A reliable source confirmed that the government knows what the last three objects are; although the information is still classified and could not yet be divulged.  I later learned news outlets corroborated congressional representatives had been briefed on the recent shoot downs of the three “unidentified objects.”   Nearly three weeks passed without a word, about anything, from the president of the United States.  For me, this speaks volumes to his credibility and character.  He’s like a ghost, that occasionally appears to haunt us.  Both parties have been clamoring for him to say something, anything, and address the nation.  It’s the president’s job to keep the American people informed.  I not a fan of watching the news, but I felt compelled to turn on my television Thursday afternoon.  Whatever channel it was tuned to, the announcer said, “the president will address the nation.”  I watched him stumble through reading a prepared speech from the teleprompter.  I could only think, “this is the man in charge of America.  Why?”  It’s no wonder our country is in disarray; our southern border is a mess; our nation is divided and now China is testing our defenses.  My heart aches for our land.  The presidents brief update was basically much of what everyone already knows.  He said the objects remain unidentified and are most likely private research or weather balloons.  I find it both interesting and difficult to believe our military shot down three “objects” in three days and have no clue what they are, where they came from or who they belong to.  The descriptions given by various military and defense individuals is curious to say the least.  In today’s modern age, and all the high-tech sophisticated equipment at the disposal of the USA, it’s unbelievable our government does not know.  I have no doubt before any US pilot engages, any object, in offensive action they know exactly what they are firing at and why. I wonder if we (the American people) will ever know the truth.  It never ceases to amaze me how individuals can be so dishonest and blatantly lie.  Why?

A strong leader (president) would have broadcast to the world, either the day the Chinese spy balloon was first detected or the day our jets shot it down.  It’s the president’s job to keep our nation safe, our population informed and our adversaries at bay.  When a population doesn’t know what’s happening or why, they speculate, make up their own stories and worry.  Even if the president has little information, share a few minutes, address the nation and tell us what you know and what the plan is to maintain our safety.  A simple statement, “we know what it is, where it came from, what it’s doing and we are taking care of it.”  That seems easy enough, right.  His inability to do this leads me to believe he doesn’t care about America, the people or what we think.  When he finished reading his briefing Thursday afternoon, he immediately turned to walk away from the reporters without taking questions.  They began yelling questions, causing him to stop several times and come back to the podium, as if he was going to answer questions.  It appeared as if he didn’t know what to do or how to handle the disorganized group.  He was either confused or disgusted, so he walked away.  This is the president of the USA?  Diplomacy, foreign and domestic, is a wonderful tool, but understanding how to use it and having the strength and courage to back up what you say or propose is another thing.  Nations without the resolve to follow through, for whatever reason, will find it challenging to survive.  In todays chaotic world, maintaining peace, especially when dealing with dictators of countries determined to rule the world, demands strong leadership.  Unfortunately, we live in a world where power, manipulation and control are all around us.  Nations ruled by evil; like China, Russia and North Korea; will continue with their attempt to dominate the world.  This is the time strong leadership and guidance is needed to maintain the sovereignty and safety our nation.  The antics of our current president and his administration is deplorable.  When the invasion comes, who will stand and defend our nation, your homes and you?

The devastation and trauma, both here at home and across the planet (like the earthquake in Turkey and war in Ukraine) continue to bring sadness, sorrow and the loss of life.  On February 3rd, a freight train, carrying toxic chemicals, derailed in East Palestine Ohio.  The devastation and health concerns are real; there and in the surrounding areas.  There’s no statement of concern, no visit to the disaster site and no sense of decency from the transportation secretary.  His only comment was that train derailments are common across the country.  Where is his integrity or moral ethics?  I haven’t heard anything from the president either. Why?  Where is the accountability and assurance that these individuals are working in the best interest of all Americans?  Life, and our nation, would be so much better with leaders who live with integrity, honesty and willingness to make our nation better.  Instead, we have misdirection, dishonesty, manipulation and no transparency from our current administration.  They tend to blame others for their own incompetence.  When do we, the American people, stand together and demand answers from the president?  He is supposed to be in charge of our nation and safety; yet he refuses to speak with truth.  His refusal to answer any questions at his briefing Thursday is cowardly.  This unwillingness to be forthright, open, honest and transparent; with any issues involving our nation; is pathetic behavior.  All Americans deserve to have answers and know that we are safe.  This just isn’t happening, and it appears, the president could care less.  I believe many knew this job was meant for a stronger leader and not the one that took office.  A leader is the person who is always available, who motivates, listens and keeps everyone informed and up to date.  I hope and pray we have a new generation of leaders that bring integrity, honesty and a desire to make a better America.

What are you doing to make a positive impact on the world (especially here at home)?  I vote we need strong leaders, with integrity and a heart.  Remember each new sunrise is a gift from God.  I am happy and grateful for the opportunity to live, breathe and share this time on earth with you.  I am truly thankful for all my many blessings.  I begin each morning with gratitude, happiness and a positive outlook.  These traits and choices set the tone for my day and life.  When I control my thoughts and attitude, I can change my world.  I enjoy writing and sharing my journey of life with you.  I’m not looking for recognition or stardom.  My offerings come from my heart and life experience.  Journaling has long provided a therapeutic form of self-expression.  Placing my thoughts into words, on paper (or my blog), is a cathartic release for me.  I hope some of what I share here will bring a ray of inspiration or enlightenment to assist you along your own path.  Life shouldn’t be about how quickly we can traverse it, how many possessions we can acquire or an ego-based attitude.  I have learned that life is best shared with amazing and loving individuals.  Happiness is my daily choice.  It is a decision that has a direct positive impact on my perceptions and life.  How will you decide to being each new day?  Follow your dreams.  They know the way.

Please tune in and join me again next Sunday for more!  The puzzle of life is always changing.  Change can lead to amazing opportunities.  Together, let’s be healthy and strong; mentally, physically and spiritually!

Thanks for your love and support!  Embrace Life!  Be sure to get outside and enjoy nature!

My goal is to be a better me. I want people to be more aware about mental and physical health. We are all humans living on this planet. Let's enjoy our lives, happy and healthy. It's okay to smile and help others along the way.
